Ecostore Review & Giveaway Day 1

Ecostore Review & Giveaway Day 1

Today is the first day of a week long of ecostore product reviews from their Babycare and Laundry ranges. I am so excited that they have asked me to trial their products and I have to admit that their products have won me over and a few have now become part of the regular products that I use with bubs and around the home.

Today I am reviewing the ecostore baby nappy balm. The arrival of this nappy balm could not have been at a better time for my 17 month old son, who suffered from extreme dryness in the nappy area. This was partly due to prolonged wear of reusable nappies over night (P sleeps at least 12 hours overnight and sometimes more!). Though I am lucky to have a great nighttime sleeper, at times this causes irritated, red and dry skin which was becoming hard to rectify.

I decided to use the nappy balm as a nighttime barrier cream. This works great. At night I apply a thick amount and in the morning I can still  see a thin layer of the balm on his skin – meaning it is still working its nourishing goodness on his skin. I find I don’t even need to use it in the daytime, yet his nappy area stays smooth and soft to the touch all day long – no dryness or redness.

I am hesitant to use new products on my son’s skin as both my husband and I have a history of eczema and skin allergies. For me I need to know that a product  is high in natural ingredients and low in detergents and other chemicals before I will put it on his skin and mine. Ecostore’s nappy balm contains what I know to be low allergen oils and the super-ingredient horopito which is known for its antifungal/ anti-eczema qualities. The ecostore website also mentions that the balm can be used on sensitive skin conditions such as cradle cap.

Retailing at 11.95$ in New Zealand, I believe this is great money for value as it lasts longer than most nappy creams and balms that require a more constant use during the daytime to be at all effective.

If you are interested in wining this product as part of the babycare products package which includes: moisturiser, sleepytime bath, massage oil, nappy balm and shampoo, you have 3 ways of entering. You MUST complete number one for one entry and then can receive a second and third entry by following 2 and 3.
