Review: Chatmats

Submitted by ghada on Friday, 2 October 2009No Comment

I was contacted by Janine to do a review of her Chatmats. I had a look at her website and liked the idea so told her to send them along. Double sided mats that are both heat resistant and easy to wipe, these are a great product for the messy toddler. I especially like using them when Mr P is eating spaghetti at the table :)

The interesting difference from other mats is that Chatmats have New Zealand inspired graphics and information to help startup conversation with you and your wee one – hence the name chatmats. My favorite at the moment is the New Zealand Towns and National icons. Though I do most of the talking at this stage, I’m able to show Preston the icons and teach him new words like gumboots and kiwi fruit – very Kiwiana! I can see they will be a great talking point as he gets older – also love that you can get more ideas on how to use the mats by visiting the chatmats website. I’ve learnt a thing or too already and enjoyed traveling Canada with them and teaching people overseas a little about New Zealand.

Love that this product was inspired by Janine’s child – many a good mother inspired businesses starts that way, out of inspiration and passion.

Chatmats also has fundraising pricing, so be sure to check them out.
