Remember the compliments you receive, forget the insults

Welcome to week 3 of what looks to be a regular feature.

I love music. I love singing, I love dancing, I love singing while dancing. This feature will recap my week and the title will feature a line from a song. Pretty simple, I hope you enjoy! And if you do, why not play along. This week’s musical inspiration comes from Baz Lurhmann’s Everybody’s free to wear sunscreen.

The week has been a bit over the place, alot of building blocks for future work projects, making personal relationships stronger, starting up the running again, and continuing on to make 2010 as outstanding as I can. That being said, the week just rocked. I can’t put my finger on any one thing that made it great, I just followed alot of advice I have received from wise people in the past and most importantly I backed myself on alot of ideas that I have been brewing up. After all, no point on dreaming up great ideas if I’m not going to do them.

So, with that being said, check out Baz’s song. Perhaps close your eyes and listen to the words. The song dispenses alot of good advice that you may have hear in the past and some new tidbits as well. Tell me if you get anything from the song.

Remember the compliments you receive, forget the insults

Its so easy to dwell on the negative, and this applies to so many areas of life – wether its with how you run your blog, how you raise your children, keep your house or just live your life. I’ve found that their are always as many if not more people in my corner rather than against me, when I remember that, life has a way of seeming pretty rosy…even on a rainy day.

Here’s another great piece of advice from the song

Do one thing everyday that scares you. Sing. Don’t be reckless with other people’s hearts, don’t put up with people who are reckless with yours.

And if you prefer to read the lyrics, you can check them out here.
