Things I see in the early morning light

I enjoy running most in the morning, when the clouds are heavy in the sky and there is no one around, except for well…these are some of the people and some of the tings I see in the early morning light

  • baby rabbits running in zig zag in front of me, as if leading my way
  • Without fail, I’ll always run across at least one black cat a week that I try desperately to not let cross my path
  • Hedgehogs in the road who are unfortunately worst for wear
  • People walking dogs…sometimes without leashes in places where leashes are mandatory. And they allow their dog to bark at me and get all agitated as I run by, not cool
  • One lady walking her dog, who without fail commands her dog to heal if we cross paths. She is respectful of the fact that we are sharing the trail…we smile, I admire how well trained her dog is and she gives me a subtle thumbs up
  • Things that look like dead animals, but are usually just bits of carpet or a sock all sodden with rain and crumpled up on the side of the road. In fact, I see waaaaayyyyy too many one off socks, what’s the deal?
  • Beautiful colors from teds, to oranges and greys in the sky
  • Once in a while a scary man in a pick up truck will drive by on the other side of the street (not the same man, I think). I never feel in danger, just annoyed that he is leering at me cause no one else is around, yuck!

When do you run? Is their anything that has caught your eye on your regular runs?

What a great post. I love the rabbit one. Things I see…right now rain which is odd because I live in the desert.
    Happy Monday.
